Alcove Cupboards
We’ve been making and fitting handmade bespoke alcove cupboards for over 20 years and we think we’ve got it cracked. The alcove cupboards are very popular: we certainly get great feedback from clients. They can help to transform a room, bringing warmth, style and character to an underutilised area of the room as well as provided fantastic storage space. It’s a balance of elegance and functionality, seamlessly reflecting the period and style of your home.
Oak lined veneer as standard, the cupboards look as good on the inside as the outside. The oak theme is extended through to cable hole lining for TVs, lamps etc above. We choose to use oak veneer as it is very stable and shouldn’t warp in the way that solid wood can.
Cupboards can be full height or base cupboards providing great space for either a hideaway TV on an extendable bracket, Xbox, Wii, Playstation and all the associated paraphernalia, media centres, laptops, or anything from photo albums and board games, magazines or unruly toys or craft materials. And all tucked away behind closed doors when not required.
Above the base cupboards you can choose from a range of options for displaying favourite items, photos, CDs, crockery, books and artefacts in open shelving, cube shelves, or maybe back lit glazed cupboards.
A very popular choice is to provide elegant housing for a flat screen TV, in a way that it won’t dominate the room. This may be placed on top of base cupboard, or on a bracket higher according to your requirements.
